ADRIAN PAYE
mixed media
Adrian Paye lives in the Borrowdale valley and draws inspiration from the volcanic and rich mineral landscapes around him. All his work uses rainwater collected from his studio roof to ensure an intimate connection to this special environment. Adrian prefers not to use traditional brushes but favours an eclectic range of tools: sticks, pipettes, knives, scrapers and other unconventional implements. This creates spontaneity into his work enabling him to explore texture and movement in ways that mirror the wild beauty of the world around him.
